
Chetrat, 17, demonstrated that he is one of the country's top butterfly swimmers by finishing fourth in the 200-metre fly and fifth in the 100m fly. He also placed 10th in the 200m back, and set six club records at the meet.
Curtis Samuel, 17, and Tera Van Beilen, 14, also represented OAK at the competition. Samuel was 10th in the 400m freestyle, setting new club records in both the heats and the final, while Van Beilen -- one of the youngest female competitors -- posted personal-best times in all five of her races.
A number of OAK swimmers also recently competed at the Nothers Invitational in London, combining to win 77 medals.
OAK's 12-year-old boys led the way, winning 12 of a possible 18 races. The club entered two teams in the boys' 11-12 medley relay, winning first and second, and added gold in the 4x50m freestyle relay.
Peter Serles was OAK's top medal-winner with five gold, four silver and a bronze. Reid Scarrow had three gold, a silver and two bronze; Gamal Assaad won three gold and a silver; Jaret Charbonneau took home two gold, two silver and three bronze; and Connor Wilkins claimed two gold, a silver and two bronze.
Other gold-medal winners were Hannah Burgess, Olivia Sinclair, Alexandra Fabugais-Inaba, Perrie Armstrong, Meghan Clark, Meredith Johnson, Conor Joynson, Ryan Maccarone and Ryan Lewis.
Earning at least one silver were Kaelan Chambers, Amanda Fraser, Scott Love, Bennett Ho, Liam Charbonneau, Elliot Smith, Matthew Mac, Mackenzie Martyn, Joel Pearson, Gregory MacLennan, David Whiteside, Owen Scarrow and Carter Yeudall.
Alexandra Morris, Julie Koszo, Dan Andrei Rona, Cameron Byrne and Robert Plata each won bronze medals.
