The Oakville Renegades won the championship at the Ambassador Cup in Kingston last weekend, the under-14 girls' soccer team's second tournament title in the past month.

Gaby Guitor and Meaghan Perrotta scored second-half goals in the championship game as the Renegades blanked Montreal's Dollard Dragons 2-0. Jessica Demello recorded the shutout to finish the tournament without allowing a goal in four games.

Oakville defeated the Kanata Lightning and Cataraqui Clippers in the opening round to finish first in its pool and earn a second-round bye. The Renegades then blanked Kanata once again in the semifinals, rolling to a 4-0 victory.

Ajla Bilajbegovic, Emily Mathieu, Charlie Glassman and Perrotta scored for Oakville in the opening round. Kate Wickham, Caitlin Hammill, Dana Chomski and Steffi Jutronich tallied in the semifinals.

In Oakville's past two tournament wins, the team has allowed just a single goal. That came via a penalty shot in the semifinals of the Darlington Invitational. The Renegades have outscored their opponents 17-1 en route to the two tournament victories.

Other members of the team are Brianna Haggart, Brooke Hicks, Nicole Jennings, Brittany Kok, Victoria MacNeill, Josan Pineau-Levman, Collette Pryce-Jones and Maren Van Zutphen.
