The Oakville Santa Claus Parade is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and is asking for the public's assistance to put together Santa Claus Parade Memories for its website and to display at community events throughout Oakville.

Do you have old photographs of past Santa Claus Parades, or perhaps some newspaper articles from years gone by? Do you have an interesting story to share about your parade experience? If you are able to send your parade memories electronically, please e-mail to info@oakvillesantaclausparade.ca If not, please contact the Santa Claus Parade organizers and they will arrange to scan your old photos and/or newspapers and return them to you. If possible, please include the date of the photo or article.

"People have such fond memories of the Oakville Santa Claus Parade. We would love to gather and share these memories as the parade celebrates its 60th Anniversary," said Pam Damoff, Chair, Oakville Santa Claus Parade.

The 2008 parade will take place Saturday, Nov. 15 beginning at 9 a.m. The parade will begin at Lakeshore Road and Reynolds, go west on Lakeshore to Kerr Street, north on Kerr and end at Kerr and Stewart streets.
