People, give your head a shake! It doesn't matter whether we call Oakville a town or a city.

What matters to me, and what should matter to you, is the huge amount of money -- our money -- which would have to be spent if the name was changed from Town of Oakville to City of Oakville.

Think of all the signs we see, all the logos on Town equipment and vehicles and buildings and uniforms, all the stationery the Town uses, etc., etc., etc.

When our tax dollars only go so far, why would anyone even consider changing the name and paying the resultant costs.
