Calling all childcare providers. Are you looking for a one-stop shop for resources?
Then you might want to check out the Open House for Home Child Care Providers that's being held by The Halton Resource Connection (THRC).
It'll take place Thursday, Sept. 18 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Halton Region headquarters, 1151 Bronte Rd., in Oakville.
The open house is free and will include various displays and representatives on behalf of licensed home childcare agencies, THRC, Halton home childcare provider training, home childcare associations, the Our Kids Network, Ontario Early Years Centres and Halton Region.
If you've ever wondered about the benefits of becoming a licensed home childcare provider, this event will provide you with a chance to ask questions and learn more about available options.
Some of the benefits of being a licensed home childcare provider include family referrals, professional development opportunities, back-up options for vacation or sick times, guaranteed payment and more.
THRC is a place where people can go to access equipment and resources to enhance programs for children and youth, provide peer support and have contact with related agencies.
THRC has locations in Milton and Oakville and is funded by Halton Region and the Milton Community Resource Centre.
