Striking against Lou Gehrig's disease

On May 19, Halton residents will be walking to fight ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), or Lou Gehrig's disease.

Halton is one of 25 walks hosted by the ALS Society of Ontario. Now in its eighth year, the WALK for ALS raises money for people with ALS and their families. Registration begins at 1 p.m. at Bronte Creek Provincial Park. More than 500 walkers are expected.
