
Nurses play an integral role in providing public and regional health services, said Regional Chair Gary Carr.
"I'd like to thank our nurses for their hard work and commitment to improving the health of Halton residents," he said.
The Region's nurses assist individuals of all ages, including those in long-term care homes. They collaborate with members of the health care team to meet the needs of residents, protect their privacy and confidentiality rights and provide residents with around-the-clock care.
"Long-term care nurses display leadership through their roles as advocates for residents," said Halton Commissioner of Social and Community Services Adelina Urbanski.
