TRI-COUNTY CHAMPS MINOR BANTAMS CROWNED: The Oakville Rangers minor bantam AA team defeated Burlington recently to claim the Tri-County Hockey League championship. The Rangers took the best-of-five series in four games. Oakville dropped the opener of the series 5-4, despite rallying from a 4-0 deficit to tie the game. The Rangers rebounded to win the next three games 4-2, 3-2 and 3-2. Team members are Adam Wirkowski, Matt Delmas, Michael Swanson, Taylor Stewart, Doug Bonar, Ross Sloan, Chris Martone, Brad Anker, Josh Dube, Alex Routhier, Matthew Capern, Braden Wallace, Jason Mitchell, Sam Binnington, Bryanna Neuwald, Cameron Farrell, Sam Jakubauskas and Jordan Mosca. The event was open to all Halton District School Board students and also featured Grand PM and Low Level Flight.
