International Dance Day Florescence at Heritage Glen

Students in the Halton District School Board are celebrating International Dance Day on Thursday with an event called Florescence at Heritage Glen Public School, 1641 Heritage Way.

Now in its fourth year, the event encourages students and teachers to come together to experience the world of dance.

Workshops will be offered by local clinicians in dance styles ranging from modern dance to salsa. All students will participate in prop-based creative movement workshops facilitated by Halton teachers, culminating in a student showcase.

The day's activities will get underway at 9 a.m. with keynote speaker Marc Richard, a former Halton educator known for his extensive work in the arts.
